About Sir Antonio Pappano
Sir Antonio Pappano, a highly sought-after conductor, is known for his charismatic leadership and inspiring performances in symphonic and operatic repertoire. Currently serving as the Music Director of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden since 2002 and the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome since 2005, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the music world.
In the upcoming 2024/2025 season, Sir Antonio Pappano will assume the position of Chief Conductor for the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra, having been designated for the role starting from the 2023/2024 season. Recognized for his contributions to music, he was appointed a Cavaliere di Gran Croce of the Republic of Italy in 2012 and received a knighthood from the British Empire.
