OAcademy Music Conservatory
OAcademy reinvents the music conservatory experience by making world-class training accessible for talented musicians globally, and relevant to the challenges and opportunities of our time. OAcademy provides an innovative global platform for rising musicians - irrespective of location - to receive professional training with the music sector’s most prominent artists, mentors, and respected music institutions. OAcademy’s toolkit empowers artists with the job skills, cross-cultural connections, and support networks needed to make a lasting mark on the future.
About the OAcademy Music Conservatory
With traditional music conservatories limited to a handful of European and North American urban centers, OAcademy achieves unparalleled reach by using new technologies to build inclusive classroom environments, multi-nation mentor networks, and peer-to-peer exchange that improve learning outcomes. For OAcademy fellows, the learning journey combines an immersive online curriculum with curated in-person residencies that are as efficient as they are effective. OAcademy also differs from traditional music conservatories in its relationship to impact beyond the musical craft. Securing sustainable artist jobs and using them to give back to society, means learning from those who know how. At OAcademy, a dynamic network of mentors, citizen artists, and music sector leaders guide the hands-on journey for fellows. These visionary coaches and change-makers share their wisdom with the next generation to inspire day-to-day success and long-term impact, on-stage and off.
Vision
OAcademy envisions a world where world-class music education is accessible to all, regardless of location or circumstances. OAcademy’s mission is to democratize access to world-class music training through the power of digital education.
Approach
Unique among music conservatories, OAcademy combines the best of distributed and in-person learning environments. OAcademy's approach leverages the power of peer learning, fostering side-by-side collaborations, connecting global perspectives with Fellows’ local realities, and building creative artistry. Through its combined focus on global resources and local impact, OAcademy Music Conservatory prepares Fellows for real world artists leadership opportunities at home and abroad
